Leah Diana Mitaba
Leah Diana Mitaba is the Executive Director of the Zambia Council for Social Development (ZCSD), a national civil society umbrella organization promoting citizen participation, accountability, and inclusive governance in Zambia. With over two decades of experience in civil society leadership, Leah has worked extensively on governance, civic space, social accountability, human rights, and public policy. She has played a leading role in Zambia's engagement on Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) reforms, facilitating dialogue between civil society organizations, regulators, financial institutions, and government agencies to promote risk-based and proportionate implementation of FATF standards. Leah has also been actively involved in Zambia's accession to the Open Government Partnership (OGP), advancing collaboration between government and civil society to strengthen transparency, accountability, and citizen participation. She contributes to national and regional platforms on governance, civic space, and democratic development and is a strong advocate for protecting civic freedoms while strengthening accountability systems.
