Mohammed El-Amin Gwadabe
Mohammed El-Amin Gwadabe, MNIM is a distinguished foreign exchange market expert, financial services executive, and transformational business leader with over three decades of experience in banking, treasury management, international trade finance, investment advisory, and foreign exchange market development.
He is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sabil Bureau De Change Limited and has played a pivotal role in shaping Nigeria’s foreign exchange ecosystem. As a leading voice in the industry, he has served in key leadership positions within the Association of Bureau De Change Operators of Nigeria (ABCON), including Acting President, where he has championed policy advocacy, market transparency, financial inclusion, and stakeholder engagement.
Mr. Gwadabe began his professional career in banking and rose through the ranks at Broad Bank Nigeria Limited (now part of Union Bank of Nigeria), where he headed International Operations and acquired extensive expertise in documentary credits, export finance, correspondent banking, treasury operations, and foreign exchange management.
He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Economics from Bayero University and an MBA in Financial Management from Lagos State University. He is a Member of the National Institute of Management (MNIM) and has attended numerous local and international seminars, workshops, and leadership forums.
A respected commentator on monetary policy, exchange rate management, remittances, financial inclusion, AML/CFT compliance, and economic reforms, Mr Gwadabe is frequently invited to speak at conferences, policy dialogues, and stakeholder engagements across Africa and beyond.
