SOLA OLUTAYO

Sola Olutayo is the Team Lead at Spaces for Change (Ghana office). A lawyer with over a decade of experience, she began her advocacy and human rights career at Spaces for Change in 2018 as Head of Legal and Compliance. There, she led strategic litigation to promote and protect the rights of victims of human rights abuses in Nigeria, notably during the 2018–2020 #EndSARS period. She now assists with research, policy analysis, and multi-stakeholder engagement under the Civic Space Resource Hub for West Africa. Across Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Togo, Gambia, Niger Republic, and Burkina Faso, she is also involved in coordinating programs aimed at strengthening civil society capacity to engage state actors on security and civic space protection. Her interests include research, good governance, digital rights, and security.
