Brian Kimari

Brian Kimari is a researcher and policy practitioner specializing in human rights, technology, security, and governance. He generates evidence-based insights that inform policy debates at national, regional, and international levels. He is a Research Fellow and Program Manager at the Centre for Human Rights and Policy Studies (CHRIPS), where he leads research, programming and policy efforts on counter terrorism and countering financing of terrorism (CFT) at national, regional and international levels. Kimari is also the coordinator of the Kenya NPO Working Group on the Financial Action Task Force, a network of NPOs advocating for risk-based anti-money laundering and counter-financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) oversight for non-profit organisations.
