Dr. Laxmana Peter Kiptoo

Dr. Laxmana Peter Kiptoo, PhD, is the Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the Public Benefit Organizations Regulatory Authority (PBORA). He has over 20 years of experience in the Civil Service, having served in senior roles across multiple government institutions, including the National Intelligence and Research University (NIRU), the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife, the National Police Service, and the Office of the President. He also previously served as a senior lecturer at the National Intelligence and Research University.

Dr. Kiptoo holds a PhD in Security and Development from Kenyatta University, an MA in Sociology from the University of Nairobi, and a BA in Community Development from Daystar University. Additionally, he holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Strategic Studies and has completed the Strategic Leadership Development Programme (SLDP) at the Kenya School of Government. He is also certified in Leadership in Crisis and Countering Violent Extremism from the International Law Enforcement Academy in New Mexico, USA.
