Salaudeen Hashim
Salaudeen Hashim, PhD is a defence and counter-terrorism specialist, community mobilizer, and capacity-building trainer with extensive experience in security governance, peacebuilding, and civil society engagement. He currently serves as the Secretary of the Multi-Stakeholder Working Group on Charity and coordinated North Central platform of the Partnership Against Violent Extremism (PAVE). He is the convener of the National Civil Society Consultative Forum on Peace and Security. Also, he is the Civic Space and Security playbook focal person in the Northwest.
Salaudeen previously served as the National Coordinator of the West African Civil Society Forum (WACSOF) and as Secretary of the National Peace and Security Forum. He contributed to the work of the Presidential Committee responsible for drafting Nigeria’s National Security Strategy and technically developed the Standard Operating Procedure for Weapons and Ammunition Management in the Northeast. With a strong background in policy development, stakeholder coordination, and community engagement, Salaudeen has worked extensively to advance peace, security, and democratic governance at national and regional levels. He is a memer of the Institute of Security and Strategic Studies as well as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Diplomacy and Management.
